I know many of you have been waiting for these, and I’m terribly sorry that the wait was longer than expected. You see, I’ve been trying to figure out a solution to the double side printing issues with these ones, and then there was the whole car issue and well life just got away from me. But here they are, and I’ve also got some printing instructions for you so hopefully those of you who would like to print them double-sided can do so.

If you’ve been following along here for a bit, then you’ll know that when it comes to printing the half-size monthly calendars, it’s almost impossible to get the to print right. I’ve been fighting with this problem for years now. Aside from coming up with a convoluted layout that could make putting the calendars together way more complicated than it should be, I’ve been coming up empty where the solution is concerned. The way I make my half pages are to make my page size 8 1/2 x 5 1/2. Then when I print. I do it like you do the whole pages using half sheets. So easy.

Here is what you need to know about half-size 2016 monthly calendars before you download them.

1. They are still half-size, but I made the file size itself half-size so each month is on it’s own page or pages
2. You now have two options when it comes to printing them.

Printing Instructions for Those Who Want Them Like They Used to Be

• choose the half-size 2016 monthly calendar layout that best suits your needs
• once you’ve downloaded the file, open it in Adobe, Okular, or even Word
• go to print and go the area that lets you set the various options and settings for printing (some programs call this options, some settings, and some other)
• select print two to a page and preview
• this should put two calendars (or the whole month for the 2 page layout) on one standard 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper.
• print
• trim printed copies in half if you so desire

Printing Instructions for Those Who Want More Control Over How They Print

• Grab some standard 8 1/2 x 11 paper and using a paper-cutter (or scissors if you want) cut it in half landscape wise so that you are left with two pieces that measure 5 1/2 x 8 1/2
• choose the half-size 2016 monthly calendar layout that suits your needs best.
• open in program of your choice (like above)
• In your print settings find where paper size is, and select the correct size or add it in manually if you can.
• Load your half-size sheets into your printer.
• Print like you would the full-size ones.
  • To print the single sheets back to back, (if you don’t have a duplexer) print out only the odd pages. Then flip the stack over, however it works for you printer) and print all the even numbers. If you’ve never tried double-sided printing before, try it out by printing only page 1 and then only page 2 on the opposite side.
  • To print the 2 page per months ones double-sided so that it looks like the pic above when it’s in your planner, do the same thing as stated above, but before you flip the stack, remove the first page for January. Then put the stack in and print. This means that page 1 and page 24 (the second half of December) will only be printed on one side

And there you go! I’ve tested it myself and it works like a charm!

Before we get to the calendars I do want to mention that if your printer has margins set, the band across the top will not go completely from side to side. You can check for margins in your printer settings.

Now, let’s to the good stuff shall we?

Half-Size 2016 Monthly Calendars

Just like their full-size big cousins, the half-size 2016 monthly calendars come in two layouts. First is the classic single page per month layout in landscape orientation.
